SNOW !!!!

The 6 to 8 class at the Nene has been cancelled by the centre due to the bad weather.

Saturday Morning Acro and Display is still on at the moment.....

Weather forcast expects light snow shower but very icy...

More Time ???

Coaching course now finished, so hopefully will have more time to get website and blog upto date.

New Centre

Just seen plans for new centre, very dissapointed !!

Typical council officers, never listen to the people involved...lol...funny, but been here before! wonder if any of the council officers followed us down from Halifax?

Still...no need to panic, 2 years minimum before any changes, we know the centre management want us to keep going(and we want to stay) so will see how things work out.

However, need committee to plan for every outcome?

Back to Gym

Here we go...start of a new term. Going to be a long one...!!!!!

First; all the coaches have to update from cycle 5 to cycle 6.
Then the week after we start on Level 2 course...we have got a deffinate 4 signed up, hopefully another 3?..fingers crossed.

Expect next few weeks to be quite, still lots of coaches and gymnasts on holiday.

We had 11 back on wed nite and they all worked very very well, hope this is a sign to come !!

All Ready to go

At last !!!! after the hectic time of organising and putting on The Show, followed by preperation for the Woodlands Friendly, we are now finding the time to cross the T's and dot the I's and launch the Eclipse Web Site.

The Show
Went fantastic, very good response from all.

The gymnasts did excellent, 1 gold, 2 silver, 2 4ths and 2 6ths was a very good result.

Round up for May 2009

The show went very well, getting lots of orders for the DVD.

No Classess from this Sat...23rd May....all starts again Sat 30th...First full week off since xmas.

Checking on prices for Leotards...all girls leotards now increased by £8.00 ????. seems a very big jump, but assured it is correct. looking in brochure it does seem ok.

Maybe start looking for next year replacing the club leotard?

Acro started working towards Woodlands Friendly comp in June.

Club still increasing in size.... 6 new gymnasts this week.

ONE WEEK TO GO !!

Only one week to the show, everything seems to be falling into place, mmmmmmm does that mean lull before the storm..lol

Lots to do, finalising music, organising equipment, sorting info to be read out on the night.

Mayor to give short speech.
organise VIP seating.
Lights to sort.

Also aim to complete WebSite this week.........!!!!

The Show

Just realised only 7 weeks to the the show????

Have sold over 300 tickets...looking good.

Only Friday class to finish routine, then everyone just needs to practise.

New Mats Arrive

At Last !!!.. the new mats have arrived, looking great.
Gymnasts (and coaches) thought it was fantastic, routines can now be sorted.

Equipment

With the numbers now attending and the standards being raised, we now need to start updating the equipment.

Wish List:-

• Full floor area - Required for competition and training, Have ordered 6 roll mats 2 mtr x 12 mtr. We just need the money to come thru now?? ordered now due to supplier offering a 10% discount. If all goes well delivery week commencing 2nd March
• Tumble Run - Very expensive, aim to acquire a low level type.
• Various - Would like another Trampette, 2 Crash Mats, coaching blocks, foam vault, more MinGym equipment.

Fundraising

Saturday tuck shop is going great at the moment, last week was best takings yet. Excellent sevice from Julia and Cathy.

Just recieved grant for Community Foundation. £5000
